IDA officials pulled up for road construction in Bicholi Hapsi

The officials of Indore Development Authority (IDA) were cornered on Tuesday when Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey asked them about utility of a road constructed in Bicholi Hapsi.

Dubey reviewed the progress and quality of works undertaken by the IDA and PWD.
During inspection of MR-3 in Pipalyapala, Dubey asked IDA officials about the utility of extending the road till 6-lane bypass. He asked if public will be benefited by additional 4km long and 45 meter wide road which will cost Rs 25 crore to IDA.

The official failed to give any satisfactory explanation and Dubey asked them to stop the work for the time being.

Dubey inspected the under construction bridge in Kesarbagh area and asked the contractor for delay in construction. He was informed by the IDA officials that the delay was due to encroachment in the area.

He ordered to remove the encroachment immediately and ordered the contractor to complete the construction in three months. He instructed the concerned engineer to monitor the work and take action accordingly.  

Dubey inspected the site of proposed bridge over railway tracks in Reti Mandi. He asked the officials to prepare the design of the elevated bridge. He also inspected a bridge being constructed by PWD in Rajendra Nagar and asked the officials to complete construction in six months. Dubey inspected the flats and shopping complex constructed by IDA in Scheme - 140.

He also inspected Scheme 15 and expressed dissatisfaction over quality of work.
