And the wait is over: Thousands of students who appeared for ISC - Class 12 and  ICSE Class 10 can heave a sigh of relief as the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has declared the exam Results for 2017.

Ananya Maiti, a student of Kolkata's Hertitage School has topped class 12 with 99.5 % by scoring 398 marks.  

Four students - Ayushi Srivastava, Devesh Lakhotia, Rishika Dhariwal and Keerthana Srikanth have stood second by scoring 99.25 percentage with 397 marks.

In the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination - ICSE Class 10th examination, Muskan Abdullah Pathan a student of Pune's Hutchings High School and Ashwin Rao, a student of Bengaluru's St Paul's High School have topped the class with 99.40 %.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination has been designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, through the medium of English.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination will ensure a general education without any diversification of studies as all candidates are required to enter and sit for six subjects and Socially Useful Productive Work.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination is a school examination and the standard of the examination pre-supposes a school course of ten years duration (Classes I-X).

How to check your ICSE Class 10 and ISC class 12 results 2017:

1. Log on to the official website cisce.org for your CISCE 10th results 2017.

2. Click on the link Results 2017.

3. You will be redirected to another page.

4. Now click on the link 'ICSE' or 'ISC' for getting the examination results 2017.

5. Enter your correct Unique ID roll number and CAPTCHA as shown on screen.

6. Click on Submit.

Receive ICSE or ISC results by SMS: To receive the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 2017 results by SMS, the candidate will need to type ICSE or ISC followed by their seven digit unique ID code and send the message to 09248082883.
