He was quoted saying by Hindustan Times: “He (Mulayam Singh) used to tell me to come and meet him at his residence at 11pm and leave before 5am. We all know who makes such discreet and nocturnal visits. I am not a political paramour who can be used and discarded at will.”

Singh added that he was called ‘outside uncle’ by Akhilesh and blamed for the family feud. He also took aim at SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav for projecting him as the villain during the Yadav family feud.

Earlier, Singh had said that he wasn’t averse to joining BJP. "The BJP is a very big political party. I won't say that I will not join the BJP if I get the chance, but who is giving me the chance? I haven't sent them any request letter either,” Amar Singh had told reporters.
