Hry govt to organise 'Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Mela'

To observe the birth centenary of RSS icon Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, the BJP government in Haryana will organise events in various villages in the state on September 25, a state minister said.

As part of the 'Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Mela' initiative, programmes associated with the ideologue's life would be organised. Literature based on his ideology would be made available at these events.

Besides, an environmental institution in district Panchkula or Gurugram would be named after Upadhyay, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said here.

He was presiding over the second meeting of a working group constituted to organise the birth centenary celebrations.

Sharma said that Upadhyay had put forth many revolutionary ideas that hold solutions for many problems faced by villagers.
