Security forces have arrested a militant belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen from a hospital in Srinagar, police sources said on Friday.

Amir Wagay, alias Ibn-e-Qasim, was arrested from SKIMS hospital in Soura area of the city yesterday, the sources said. They said Wagay, a resident of Goriwan area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, was associated with Hizbul Mujahideen.

The sources said Wagay has been taken into custody and is being questioned. 

He was involved in a number of attacks on security forces in Anantnag district and was high on the wanted list of the security forces, says a Hindustan Times report.
