Himachal Pradesh would set up a war museum where busts of soldiers who had won prestigious medals right from the British era till recent times would be installed, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said Saturday.

A corpus of Rs.2 crore has been established for establishment of the war museum in Dharamsala town, the chief minister said at a meeting here.

He said the names of martyred soldiers belonging to the state would also be displayed in the museum so that the younger generation comes to know about their valour.The chief minister stressed the need of contributions to the Chief Minister Sainik Welfare Fund, stressing industrial houses should be associated as it serve the families of martyrs and ex-servicemen.
