All 11 judges of the Himachal Pradesh high court led by chief justice Kurian Joseph today declared their assets and liabilities alongwith those of their spouses and children.
The assets of the judges were posted on the website of the high court to bring these in the public domain.
Chief justice, who had strongly favoured declaration of assets by judges when he took over three months back, said that it would bring accountability and transparency in public life.
With this Himachal high court has become the fifth high court in the country after Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi and Punjab and Haryana where judges have made their assets public.
The assets of all the judges and their family members are moderate and no judge possesses huge cash or property.
The judges had submitted their assets to the chief justice and the same were displayed on the website.
Earlier, chief justice inaugurated the media room in the high court premises, fulfilling another promise made by him.
