A health worker was gangraped and killed by some miscreants near Shahorchak village in Jehanbad district, a police officer said today.The woman, an accredited social health worker (ASHA), was heading home with her husband Manoj Sharma from a market place last evening when the miscreants intercepted them at gun point and took her away and gangraped her, superintendent of police Ganesh Kumar said.The miscreants killed the woman before making good their escape, Kumar said.The victim's husband has lodged a FIR against six accused persons charging with the rape and murder of his wife, Kumar said, adding the woman's body has been sent for post-mortem.
