The odd-even rule will be implemented from January 1, 2016 till January 15, 2016.
Delhi Police on Tuesday said they have taken note of AAP government's odd-even formula of restricting movement of private vehicles in the national capital from January one but need some more clarity on the matter.
"We have taken note of the scheme but some more clarity is needed in the concerned matter for which another meeting has been scheduled on December 10," said Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Muktesh Chander.
However, the implementing authority (the police in this case) are still not clear about under what provisions of law will they prosecute offenders if the formula, meant to curb air pollution in the national capital, is implemented from January 1, said a senior traffic official.
In a meeting held on Tuesday -- chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and attended by all cabinet ministers, Muktesh Chander and other senior officials -- at the Delhi Secretariat, the matter was discussed with Delhi Police for the first time, said the senior official.

Delhi Government today said that the odd-even scheme for plying of private vehicles in the city will be in force from 8 AM to 8 PM from January 1 for an initial period of 15 days and there will be no restrictions on vehicular movement on Sundays.
After the meeting, Kejriwal said his government was yet to take a call on whether the scheme will have two-wheelers on its ambit. Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai said the government will come out with a detailed blueprint by December 25 which will answer all the questions being raised by experts and public. He added that the government will soon come out with details of exemptions like those who are ailing and disabled.
A decision on whether women will be included in 'exemption list' is yet to be taken.
