Vikas Barala, son of Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala and accused in the high-profile Chandiarh stalking case, has been sent to the judicial custody till August 25.  Barala and his friend and co-accused Ashish Kumar were earlier sent to judicial cutsody for two days.Son of senior BJP politician is accused of chasing, stalking and trying to kidnap daughter of a bureaucrat in Chandigarh in dead of night.Barala came under scrutiny after massive outrage after he was let off after initial arrest on Agust 5.Varnika Kundu, the 29-year-old DJ, not only fought came out in media but also fought the injustice and high handedness of the administration.Subhash Barala, however, rebuffed the claim of pressurising or influencing the police in the case.Earlier, Director General of Police Chandigarh Tajender Singh Luthra had said that Haryana BJP chief?s son and his friend were slapped with charges of abduction.The notice was issued to both the accused, under 160 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the case was filed against Barala under Section 354D (stalking), 341 (wrongful restraint), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 185 MV Act (rash driving).
