Haryana government has provided its state plane and helicopter for relief and rehabilitation measures in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand and its Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda made an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas on Saturday.

After cancelling his programmes at Jind and Sonipat, Hooda today proceeded to Uttarakhand and made an aerial survey of flood affected areas of Haridwar and Dehradun. He then left his helicopter there for the relief and rescue operations and is returning to Delhi by road.

Before leaving, Hooda said Haryana has offered all necessary help to Uttarakhand government in view of the devastation due to heavy rain and floods. Haryana has already provided a grant of Rs 10 crore to Uttarakhand for relief and rescue operations.

He said the services of a helicopter and a plane are being made available to Uttarakhand government and the state plane has already reached there. The state is providing all help in relief and rescue operations and relief material like blankets, tents, clothes, medicines and food packets are being sent to Uttarakhand.

Hooda said Haryana Pradesh Congress has also sent a Falcon Jet to Uttarakhand for help in rescue work.

To help the flood-trapped people of Haryana in Uttarakhand, a team of civil and police officers of Haryana has also been sent to Dehradun.

Haryana Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy PK Dass (mobile number 09814213797) and DIG Telecom Subhash Yadav (09888086900) will coordinate the rescue and relief work of Haryana teams at Dehradun and Rishikesh from Chandigarh.

Three teams from Haryana have been sent for help in relief/rescue work at Dehradun and Rishikesh.

The Haryana government has also set up two control rooms each at Dehradun and Rishikesh to provide help to the people stranded at various places in the flood-ravaged Uttarakhand.

"The Haryana government will bear the cost of treatment provided to the people of the state affected in this devastation," state's Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Krishna Mohan said.

On the basis of the calls made in these control rooms, a list of the missing persons has been prepared which has the names, addresses and the place at Uttarakhand from where stranded persons have made telephone call, besides their origin and the destination of the journey, he said.

"The list would be given to the Uttarakhand Government to receive information about the missing persons. The same would then be disseminated to the concerned on the whereabouts of stranded people belonging to Haryana," he said.

Mohan said that the control room at Rishikesh has been set up at Jai Ram Ashram which is headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Jairam Gehlawat, who could be contacted at mobile number +91-8398000608.

"This centre (control room) is coordinating with the Uttarakhand Administration in rescuing and providing necessary help to the stranded people from Haryana," he said.

The officer said that another team headed by P K Das, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry (+91-9814213797) and revenue and police officials is at Dehradun to provide help.

Also, Rs 10 lakh has been sent for immediate medical treatment of affected persons at Dehradun centre, he said.

The team of Haryana officials at Dehradun is making transport arrangements for sending the pilgrims from the state back to their respective destinations, Mohan said.

"The state government's helicopter has also reached Uttarakhand for the relief and rescue operations. Also, an airplane would be provided to Uttarakhand Government, if needed," he said.

"Apart from this, other items like tents, medicines, cloths, food packets, mobile generating sets, fuel and other emergency supplies are also being provided to people. Haryana Government would soon dispatch 50,000 blankets for the affected people in Uttarakhand," he said.
