Haryana unit of BJP will hold a demonstration here on Thursday against price rise and Centre's alleged failure to tackle the problem."We will be holding the protest demonstration in which our workers and leaders from across Haryana will participate. We will also submit a memorandum to the state governor on the issue," state BJP president Krishan Pal Gujjar told a news conference here.The UPA government had promised to bring the prices under control within 100 days on its coming to power but it failed,he alleged."Despite nearly 300 days of its rule, the UPA has failed to check the price rise. It seems that the government has surrendered to hoarders and black marketeers," he said. Demanding a ban on forward trading of food grains, Gujjar said that the rise in prices was hitting the common man badly.

"The government seems to be in deep slumber. The Congress which claims itself as the party of 'Aam Aadmi' (commonmasses) in fact seems to be favouring the 'Khas Aadmi' (theelite)," he said.The BJP legislator said that "reducing the subsidy on fertilisers will affect the farmers." 

During the Haryana Assembly budget session starting next month, BJP will raise issues pertaining to common people,including shortage of power and water supply, rampantcorruption and deteriorating law and order situation in thestate, he said.Booth level elections of the state BJP unit will be held next month, while the polls for electing the next Haryana BJP chief will be held in April, he added.
