Last week Jagruti filed a petition seeking reinvestigation into the case and also sought Modi's help to nail the real culprits behind the assassination that shocked the political fraternity of the country. Pandya's family sought reinvestigation following Gujarat high court's ruling that acquitted all 12 accused who were earlier convicted by a designated POTA court in 2006.

"I will meet Narendra Modi after garlanding my husband's statue at Nehrunagar," said Jagruti.

"If Modi is aiming for peace among all classes (of people), he should also ensure the same for our family by arresting the true murderers. We will give a memorandum to Modi demanding reinvestigation into my husband's murder case," she added.

Jagruti had also called a media conference earlier this month demanding cooperation from veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani and Modi for justice.

However, government gave her a cold response and also opposed Jagruti's plea before the high court seeking re-probe by contending that the state is going to file an appeal before the SC.
