According to an official release, he also requested Prabhu for stoppage of the Kisan Express, which runs between old Delhi and Bathinda, at Bawani Khera in Bhiwani district of the state.

In two separate demi-official letters to the railway minister, Khattar has drawn Prabhu's attention to the problem being faced by the people of Bhiwani and its adjoining areas in visiting the holy city of Haridwar as there is no direct rail connectivity between these two places at present, the release said today.

Both the current routes between these two cities are indirect. The first one via New Delhi and the second via Ambala. Therefore, considering the huge demand, a direct train from Bhiwani to Haridwar should be started at the earliest, the chief minister wrote in the letter.

He said the Kisan Express passes through Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Hansi, Hisar, Sirsa on its way to Bhatinda and requested the railway minister to give directions for stoppage of the train at Bawani Khera to fulfil the long pending demand of the people.
