Gupkar declaration Alliance headed by Omar Abdullah on Ladakh tour

A delegation of People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration headed by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reached Kargil via Drass to talk to locals in the area as part of their Ladakh tour.

Comprising of senior leaders including Omar Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Nasir Aslam Wani, Muzafar Shah and Waheed Parra, the delegation headed to Kargil to meet local leaders of the region and to discuss the recent amendments in land laws of Jammu and Kashmir.

The delegation first stopped in Drass to meet local leaders and discussed with them their agenda. It then left for Kargil as it is scheduled to visit the whole union territory of Ladakh to collect the views and to discuss their views about the laws.

"People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration is heading to Kargil to hold consultations with the people to chart out the road ahead," Omar Abdullah tweeted.

"Warmly received by the people of Drass, who in one voice endorsed the agenda of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration,” he said in another tweet.
