These NGOs delayed the judicial process by obtaining a stay order every now and then resulting in delayed justice to the victims.

The government and police did not leave any stone unturned to ensure a proper inquiry into the Ode-Khambholaj incident, said IK Jadeja, spokesperson of Gujarat BJP. Jadeja also said that had the NGOs not delayed the judicial procedure, the victims could have got justice five years back.

“Instead of getting justice for the victims, these NGOs were busy defaming the Gujarat government, police and SIT and also working for their vested interest," said Jadeja.
