Gujarat: Luxury bus carrying 23 passengers catches fire in Valsad, no casualties

Around 15 to 20 passengers were trapped in the burning bus, however, the toll plaza workers and the local police reached the spot in time to save the people.

A luxury bus caught fire on Monday near a toll plaza in Valsad, Gujarat.

Around 15 to 20 passengers were trapped in the burning bus, however, the toll plaza workers and the local police reached the spot in time to save the people.

There were no casualties reported from the spot as of yet.

The flames engulfed the bus, melted the windows, spreading outwards from the rear to the front of the bus.

The reason behind the starting of the fire is still unknown.

More details are awaited. 

Earlier in June, a Mumbai bound luxury bus carrying 56 passengers caught fire on Ahmedabad- Vadodra expressway.

The passengers made a narrow escape as smoke started to come out of the bus and they deboarded at the right time.
