Three MPs from Gujarat are likely to be inducted in the next round of cabinet expansion, official sources of the Congress Party said. Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana and Uttarakhand could not find place in the 19 council of
ministers sworn in yesterday, are likely to be given representation in the next round of expansion, top Congress leaders from the state told PTI.

Gujarat is likely to retain three representatives in the UPA-led government. Congress has won 11 (last time 12 seat) out of the total 26 seats from Gujarat. The names of Dinsha Patel, Bharat Solanki, Tushar Chaudhary, Prabhaben Taviad and Vithalbhai Radadariya are doing the rounds for the ministerial berths from Gujarat.
       
However, Gujarat is likely to be deprived of cabinet rank minister, but will get a Minister of State with independent charge and two MoS berths, the source said. In the outgoing ministry Gujarat had one cabinet rank minister - Shankersinh Vaghela (Textile), Naranbhai Rathwa (Minister of State for railways) and Dinsha Patel (Minister of
State for Petroleum and Natural Gas). All these three ministers were from Central Gujarat. Vaghela had represented Kapadwanj, Rathwa reserved seat of Chhotaudepur and Patel from Kheda seat.
