Former president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Arjun Modhwadia on Wednesday alleged that the State Election Commission is behaving in a biased manner and has not taken note of the complaint filed by the Congress. He said, "BJP had conducted a fake opinion poll on the first phase of elections and posted it on a social media page run by BJP named ''For BJP Gujarat'. As it is a violation of the model code of conduct, I had lodged a complaint against the media cell in-charge and the legal cell in-charge for conducting exit poll survey on the election day. But the Election Commission is yet to take a note of it."Modhwadhia said EC is behaving in a biased manner. Giving an example, Modhwadia said, "As soon as the Congress IT cell chief Rohan Gupta retweeted a post which was actually a survey and not any exit or opinion poll, the BJP lodged a complaint. The EC immediately charged Gupta of violation of code of conduct by the Election Commission."

He claimed that though Congress gave proof, EC was yet to lodge a complaint against the violator. "We want it to ask BJP to remove it from their page," remarked Modhwadia.

On development model, Modhwadia said why BJP or Narendra Modi are not talking about it. "I challenge the BJP to come and have an open discussion about their rule of 22 years. And, we will discuss what we have done during Congress rule," he said. He also appealed people to cast vote.
