The delimitation of wards created several problems for the voters. The polling booths of many voters were changed because of delimitation of their respective wards.

Moreover, many people also found their names missing from the voters list. Such complaints were registered from almost all the wards of the city. However, it was particularly high in Ambawadi, Sardarnagar, Kubernagar, Viratnagar and Odhav areas.

Residents of Mukhinagar, Hiranagar, Purushottamnagar, Jeevandhara society, Patanjali society, Surdhara society and Ambica society could not exercise their franchise as their names were missing from the voter's list.  Similarly, a residential colony in Ambawadi- Mayanagar with a total of 800 voters had only 44 residents' name appearing in the voter's list.

One Rajesh Thakkar of Asarwa was so disappointed that he said that the election photo identity card (EPIC) was meant only for opening a bank account. When a voter in Behrampura ward, Jedi Makwana found her name missing from the voter's list she created a ruckus.

In Kalupur ward, many voters were displeased because of change in polling booth. Many people living in certain pols of Kalupur Tower area had to visit Navi Mahallat ni pol instead of their usual polling booths.
