The state consumer commission's decision to shift Grahak Bhavan outside Ahmedabad limits from Thursday has irked consumer organisations who are protesting against the step.
The state consumer commission's decision to shift Grahak Bhavan outside Ahmedabad limits from Thursday has irked consumer organisations who are protesting against the step.
Consumer Protection and Action Committee (CPCA) has opposed the govt’s decision to shift all the forums and commissions to the specially constructed ‘Grahak Bhavan’ at Gota. This location is outside city limits and the consumers who approach the forums for sorting out issues would be harassed by it.
The move will affect a lot of people as the new building is located on the highway, 20 km from the railway station and the ST bus stand. CPCA president Mukesh Parikh said: "Many consumers across the state have their cases pending with the state commission and the shift would land them in great difficulty."
