Kerala government today ordered a judicial probe into the police firing at Kasaragod in which one Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) worker was killed during the party rally on Sunday last.
The terms-of-reference of the probe would be decided later, chief minister VS Achuthanandan told reporters after a cabinet meeting here.
One person was killed in police firing and another stabbed to death the same evening at Kasaragod, when an IUML rally organised as part of a reception to party leaders reportedly turned violent.
Most political parties, including the Congress which heads the opposition United Democratic Front of which IUML is a constituent, have demanded a judicial probe into the incident.
