The Centre is making huge investments on Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and Rs 15,000 crore had been earmarked in this year's budget for the government's flagship education programme, Union home minister P Chidambaram said today."Our aim is that not even a single child should be deprived of the right to education. The Government wants to give quality education to all," he said at a marriage function at Mayiladuthurai near here.Education alone could bring about positive changes in the lives of people. "Not only school education, but also higher education is essential for the development of the Nation," he said.Chidambaram said children who dropped out of schools were now being identified with a view to enrolling them back.Inaugurating a new bus route from Karaikudi to Madurai via Azhagichi Patti at Sivaganga, Chidambaram said the Transportsector would develop only if People supported it."More we use public transport,more it will develop.For any planned tour programme..Use only public transport"the minister said.The minister also advised the people not to take out their anger on Buses,or Post offices or Trains as they alone owned them. "Any damage to buses is damage to your own property," he said.
