The government would not take Team Anna's charge against the central ministers seriously, Minister of State in the PMO V Narayanasamy today said.

"I personally don't want to make any comments on them. But, we don't take them seriously," Narayanasamy told reporters here on his arrival from Delhi.

Team Anna had made allegations against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Mukherjee and 13 others last month and demanded setting up of a special investigation team which was rejected by the Government.

Narayanasamy said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had sought the support of all parties to extend support to UPA's Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee.

He hoped that Mukherjee would win unopposed.

Earlier, Shipping Minister Vasan said the government would not give "much importance" to such charges.

"We will not give much importance to baseless charges."

Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal had said in Jodhpur yesterday that Mukherjee was a candidate for the highest constitutional post and the person adorning the top office must be "above board".
