Jharkhand: Educational institutions, government offices to reopen from today, check guidelines here

Schools, colleges, coaching centres, government offices, cinema halls and parks across Jharkhand will reopen today, i.e. March 1, 2021 after being closed for almost a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, 100% attendance will be mandatory for government employees. Schools will reopen on March 1 for students of Class 8 and above. Colleges are also set to reopen from today.

Reopening guidelines-

As per the standard operating procedures issued by the Centre, cinema halls in the state will be allowed to open with 50% capacity.

School students will be called for classes only with the consent of their parents.

The ban on all kinds of procession will continue.

Organsing any kind of game or event in open spaces with a maximum audience of 1000 people will be allowed, as also in the case of fairs and exhibitions.

Swimming pools will be open for selected swimmers.

Campaign to make people aware of COVID-19 will not stop.

Compliance of Face Cover/Mask and social distance in public places is mandatory.

Arrangements to be made at Ranchi airport and major railway stations in the state for collecting swab samples of those coming from outside. 

Anganwadi centres will open from April 1. 

Covid vaccines to be administered to Anganwadi workers before April 1.

Meanwhile, the Jharkhand state government has also directed the schools in the state to conduct offline examinations for the students Class 10 and 12. Further, the government has also asked to not conduct offline examinations for any other classes. Jharkhand 10th and 12th board examination 2021 will commence on May 4, 2021, and will conclude on May 21, 2021.

The schools are instructed to continue conducting online classes for the students even after the offline class resume for the students from March 1, 2021.
