Acting on a tip-off, the passenger, a native of Kerala, was apprehended while carrying two kg gold worth Rs 54.28 lakh, after he arrived from an Air India flight at the Goa airport at 4.30 AM, they added.

Meanwhile, the Customs also seized cigarettes worth Rs 4.36 lakh from two passengers, who arrived from Sharjah by an Air Arabia flight at 5 AM, officials added.
