Ghaziabad: Owner of private firm rapes woman employee after proposing marriage

The owner of a private company was on Wednesday booked for allegedly raping his employee about one-and-a-half year ago in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad.

According to the complaint filed by the girl, who was given the post of director of the company, the owner had proposed her for marriage March 2, 2013, police said.

She alleged that the accused later offered her cold drink which had some sedatives and raped her. The victim said in the complaint that she was afraid to report the matter to the police therefore she took so long to file the case.

"A case of rape has been registered against the accused," said Hari Dayal Singh Yadav, Station Officer of Indirapuram police station.
