In a bid to curb crime in the state, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday, said the police should take concrete steps against land mafias and criminal gangs to check their activities.

Gehlot, while reviewing the law and order situation here, asked the police department to increase patrolling and remain
vigilant.

He also instructed officials to continue the campaign against drunken driving.

DGP KS Bains informed the CM about the fall in the number of accidents and complaints of misbehaviour following the implementation of the anti-liquor drive.

Principal secretary SN Thanvi, additional director general KL Bairwa, inspector general of Police Range-IPK Singh were also present in the meeting, officials said.
