An order to this effect was passed by the Yogi Adityanath government on Thursday. He was shifted owing to security reasons and fear of a gang war following the murder of Bajrangi.

Incidentally, the Superintendent of Fatehgrah Central Jail, BP Tripathi went on leave a day before Sunil Rathi was shifted there. Junior jail staff completed the formalities to receive the gangster in Fatehgarh jail on Saturday night.

Bajrangi left Baghpat jail at around 2 pm under heavy security. He has been accused of killing mafia don Bajrangi alias Prem Prakash Singh, who was brought to Baghapt Jail on July 8 to appear before a local court in an extortion case.

Not only other mafia dons but also police and jail staff now fear Rathi after he shot Bajrangi inside the jail.

Earlier, an investigating officer had demanded a bullet-proof jacket to grill Rathi.
