The Uttar Pradesh administration on Wednesday announced that coronavirus hotspots in 15 districts of the states, including Lucknow and Noida, will be sealed off to stop the spread of novel coronavirus as people residing in certain areas are not following the lockdown.

The 15 districts are Agra, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar (GB Nagar), Kanpur, Varanasi, Shamli, Meerut, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Basti, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Maharajganj and Sitapur.
UP Chief Secretary RK Tiwari said only doorstep delivery of ration will be allowed. Curfew passes will be reviewed and no one else will be allowed to come out without the pass.
However, minutes after the Uttar Pradesh government announced that parts of 15 districts, including Lucknow and Noida, will be sealed off to stop the spread of novel coronavirus, people rushed from their homes to the shops providing essential services to stock up.

Lack of proper information led to panic among the people and they stepped out of their homes to buy groceries, medicines, fruits and vegetables, etc. There were certain reports suggesting that whole districts will be shutdown. The authorities, however, asked people not to spread misinformation.
Gautam Buddha Nagar: 12 hotspots
- The highest number of cases took place in sector 135 and 137. The sectors near them have also been taken together as a cluster.
- The second cluster includes two villages--Achheja and Bishnuli of Dadri area. Here patients were found in Mehak Residency
- The third cluster includes Omicron Greater Noida and Ghori Baghera Village
- The fourth cluster includes Greater Noida's Alpha 1 and Zeta. They are within a distance of 3km
- The fifth cluster includes Pathwari Village and Greater Noida West's Sector 2
- The sixth cluster includes Greater Noida West's Gaur City
- The seventh cluster includes Noida sector 27 and 37
- The 8th cluster includes Sector 50, 44, 100
- The 9th cluster includes Noida sector 5 and nearby areas
- The 10th cluster includes Noida sector 62 and nearby areas
- The 11th cluster includes Noida sector 74 and 78
- The 12th cluster includes Noida sector 150 and nearby sectors

- Indiranagar area around Kaif Ali Abdi's house
- Alina Enclave Khurram Nagar in the vicinity of Dr Tausif Haider's house
