Fuel prices have hit a record high on Tuesday even after the prices of petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged. Petrol and diesel prices were increased by 30 paise and 35 paise per litre respectively in Delhi taking the rate of petrol to Rs 104.44 per litre.

The rate of fuel has hit a record high despite being paused. This comes after the rate of petrol and diesel were increased on Monday for the seventh day straight after which the price of fuels hit a record high due to increasing rates in the international markets. 

The price of petrol and diesel is at a new high as the former is selling at Rs 104.44 per litre in Delhi, while in Mumbai, it is selling for Rs 110.41 per litre. 

Meanwhile, the price of diesel has been increased to Rs 92.82 from its previous price of Rs 93.17 a litre in Delhi. In Mumbai, diesel is selling at Rs 101.03 per litre.

Petrol price in Kolkata is at Rs 105.10 per litre while diesel is at Rs 92.28 per litre. In Chennai, the price of petrol is Rs 101.79 per litre, while that of diesel is Rs 97.59. 

The steep increases in fuel prices this week comes after the rate were stable since September 5. The price of petrol has increased on six out of previous eight days, taking up its primo price by Rs 1.45 per litre.
