From meeting with PM Modi's mother to Jain temple visit: President Kovind's two-day sojourn to Gujarat

President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat commencing from October 13.

In the schedule for the President's two-day visit to Gujarat, he is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi to seek her blessings at her residence.

Following his visit to Modi's mother, the President will also visit the Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra temple in Koba. The temple head, PadmaSagar Suriji, had extended an invitation to the President which he accepted.

Upon Shri PadmaSagar Suriji's request, the President will visit the museum and library located in the temple. The museum and the library have become centres of attraction as they house 2000-year-old artefacts, literature and many antique crafts.

Apart from books on Jainism, the library also has a wide array of books on other religions.

Principal PadmaSagar Suriji and President Ram Nath Kovid have had a good relationship since 1994 and he is coming to Gujarat on his invitation.
