Prominent freedom fighter Tulsi Gangadhara Rama Rao died in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh yesterday due to old age.He was 84 and was survived by two sons.He participated in the freedom movement and other movements launched in the state, and was imprisoned on several occasions, his family members said.He was attracted to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayana and Ram Monhar Lohia’s socialist theories and followed their principles. During the freedom struggle he also met Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.He also wrote a book titled, Swatantra Samidhalu and took active part in the Visakha Steel plant struggle and the campaign for removing signboards in English in Rajahmundry city.Several leaders and organisations and conveyed their heart felt condolences to the bereaved family members.
