A CBI court here today extended the judicial remand of former Madhya Pradesh Minister Kamal Patel till July 6, for allegedly destroying evidence in connection with the alleged murder of a youth in Harda district.

Patel, who was arrested on June 20 from Bhopal was remanded to judicial custody till July 6 by the Special CBI Court Judge Shubra Singh.

Durgesh, who had an altercation with Patel's son Sudeep at the latter's farmhouse was allegedly injured in a shootout and after the incident his whereabouts remained a mystery.

Suspecting murder of his son, Durgesh's father filed an 'heabeas corpus' petition in the High Court following which the matter was handed over to the CBI.
