Madhya Pradesh BJP stalwart dies.

Veteran BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM Babulal Gaur passed away on Wednesday morning. He was 89 and was suffering from indifferent health for sometime. Gaur died after suffering from cardiac arrest at Narmada hospital in Madhya Pradesh capital city Bhopal. He was CM of the state between 2004-2005 and later served as Minister in the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government.
For the last week, Gaur was in the hospital after his blood pressure dipped. Babulal Gaur's health progressively took turn for the worst despite best efforts from doctors and he passed away on Wednesday morning. Gaur was born in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh and was initially part of trade union movement before joining active politics. He was a ten times MLA from Govindpura constituency.

आदरणीय बाबूलाल गौर को सत्य के लिए लड़ने वाले सिपाही और मज़दूरों, गरीबों व कमज़ोर वर्ग के हितों के रक्षक के रूप में सदैव याद किया जायेगा। गोवा मुक्ति आंदोलन से लेकर आपातकाल तक में पुलिस की लाठियों का निडरता से सामना करने वाले नायक युगों युगों तक हमारे दिलों में जिंदा रहेंगे।

Chauhan called Gaur his guide and recalled the achievements of the departed leader in movements ranging from Goa Liberation to that of Emergency. According to Chauhan, Gaur always worked for the downtrodden section of the society.
