Fog menace: Operations at Delhi airport resumes; train services disrupted
Poor Air Quality Index has also contributed to the fog in Delhi.
The operations at Delhi Airport that had halted due to poor visibility have resumed on the first day of the New Year 2018.
Due to Dense fog in Delhi fifty-six trains in the national capital were delayed, 20 rescheduled and 15 cancelled as the visibility the region dropped sharply.
Hundreds of passengers at Delhi's airport and several railway stations in north India were left stranded on Monday after multiple flights and trains got affected due to the thick fog. Driving on the roads became difficult as the visibility was reduced to a few metres in many areas.
Poor Air Quality Index has also contributed to the fog in Delhi and NCR.
Dense fog in Uttar Pradesh has also disrupted normal life.
On Sunday also , more than 40 flights were diverted and more than 90 flights were affected at the Delhi airport.
