The youth wing of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to launch a campaign to support the party’s preparations for the coming Lok Sabha polls. With an aim to draw young voters to the party, the youth wing has organised several programmes, including golden run.
Giving details of the plans, Jitu Waghani, state president of the party’s youth cell, said, “We will start contacting new voters by observing ‘Samarpan Diwas’ to mark the death anniversary of Pt. Dindayal Upadhyay on February 11.”

The youth workers will undertake door-to-door campaigning to reach out to new voters. “According to a party survey, each assembly constituency has about 22,000 to 25,000 new voters.
We will approach them and offer them flowers,” Waghani said, adding, “The party will also organise programmes in seven cities and 37 assembly constituencies to felicitate new voters.”

The campaign will highlight the achievements of the Modi government in the state. “We will expose failure of the UPA government on several fronts, such as unemployment and inflation,” said Jigar Inamdar, state general secretary of the BJP youth cell.

“We will inform the voters about the proposed investment of 12.50 lakh crore in the state and subsequent generation of about 25 lakh jobs,” he said.
