The bodies of Krishanpal Singh (70), Kusuma Devi (65), Rani (45), Ramkali (22) and a six month-old infant were found from their house in Devi crossing under the Maudaha police station area yesterday, police officials said.

It seems that the family had consumed some poisonous substance, a police official said adding that the bodies too appear to be two to three days old.

A case has been registered and bodies sent for post mortem examination, the police officials added.
