Five of family die in road accident in Karnataka

Five persons of the same family, including two women, died and another injured critically when their car collided with a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus at Mulbagal taluk in Kolar district in the early hours today, police said.Those killed in the incident, which took place in Kammadatti village, were identified as Mamatha, 27, Pavithra, 22, Venkatachalapathy, 55, Murthy, 40, and Gagan, 25, police said.The accident occurred when the SUV, in which the family was proceeding to Tirupathi, rammed into a KSRTC bus that was coming from Chennai, police said.The bus driver has been nabbed and the vehicle seized.
