The first ever international flight from the city airport will take 200 Haj pilgrims to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, officials said today.

The Air India flight will take off around 6am from the Devi Ahiliyabai Airport tomorrow and reach its destination at around 11.30am, Air India airport manager DV Gadgil told PTI today.

Airport director Vivek Upadhaya said that this would be the first time that a direct international flight was being operated from the airport.

Fifteen groups of 200 Haj pilgrims each will leave for Jeddah from the airport, he said.
