Addiction to PUBG Mobile game has become a cause of concern in India. Cities like Rajkot and Ahmedabad have already prohibited the game. There are PILs filed in Bombay High Court asking for a complete ban on the mobile game. Amid the growing outcry, the news of Telangana youth succumbing to death after playing the game for 45 days straight only added fuel to fire.

Turns out the news is fake and the death of that young man has no connection with PUBG or any other game. According to a TOI report, Banda Sagar Yadav, the 20-year-old from Jagtial, Telangana was suffering from a serious infection. "Sagar's unfortunate demise has absolutely no connection with PUBG or any other games he may or may not have been addicted to. In fact, reports suggesting that he suffered paralysis are also false," Dr Raj Kiran told the daily.

"Two months ago, he suffered fits, after which he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors told us that he got paralysed on the left side of the body. Sagar received treatment and recovered, but a few days ago, he fell ill again and was paralysed on the right side of the body. We were told he was critical and he passed away on Thursday afternoon," Sagar's friend Harish Palkurthi told the daily.

According to Harish, the viral video claiming the adverse effect of PUBG was shot in jest when Sagar's friends were trying to lighten his mood because he was experiencing tremendous headache. "Sadly it went viral and now everyone thinks he died because of playing PUBG. That's not true," said Harish.
