Fake medicines worth Rs5 lakh were seized from a shop at Amindabad market and one person was arrested for his alleged involvement in the case during a raid conducted by the district officials here.
 
On a tip off that fake medicines were being sold through the office of a courier shop in Aminabad market, drug inspector KG Gupta along with city magistrate Arvind Kumar Chaurasia raided the shop yesterday.
 
"Fake medicines were being sold from the courier shop which did not have a licence to sell the medicines," Gupta said.
 
During the search, fake medicines worth Rs5 lakh were recovered from the shop, he added.
