Who is Abu Jundal?
Abu Jundal alias Zabi’s real name is Syed Zabiuddin Syed Zakiuddin Ansari. A Lashkar-e-Toiba operative from the Georai area of Beed district, Maharashtra, Jundal fled to Bangladesh and then to Pakistan via Nepal, in 2006, after a Mumbai police team seized a huge cache of arms, ammunitions and explosives from Aurangabad

Pending cases against him
Apart from his role in the November 26, 2008, terror attack, Jundal is wanted in the 11/7 train blasts in Mumbai, the 2006 Aurangabad arms haul, and the pipe-bomb blast in Ahmedabad in 2005

Present status of 26/11
The case is in the Supreme Court after the Bombay high court upheld the trial court’s order sentencing Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone arrested terrorist, to death

Pakistan’s role
The Indian government has sent two dossiers, along with numerous evidences, to the Pakistani government asking it to deport any absconding accused hiding there. But Pakistan has maintained that no terrorist involved in the attack is hiding in its soil
