In an exclusive interview with Sudhir Chaudhary, the Editor In Chief of Zee News, Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked at length on several issues including the upcoming Bihar elections, controversies surrounding the Sushant Singh Rajput death and India-China standoff.

The Bihar Assembly election has created quite a stir especially with former alliance Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) breaking away from the NDA alliance. LJP chief Chirag Paswan has blamed the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his party JD (U) for the entire mess.

However, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that LJP was being accommodated reasonably in the alliance but Chirag chose to move out. He also said that the BJP is in a better position this assembly election compared to 2015.

Shah went on to praise the Nitish Kumar government for the developmental work and took a dig at the RJD-Congress alliance by saying that people haven't forgotten the 'Jungle Raj'.

According to political analysts, Bihar in the last 15 years - JD (U) rule - has seen some major development in the field of education, medical sector and infrastructure building.

Meanwhile, political parties in the state have picked up on the issue of Sushant Singh Rajput death case and are bending it in their favour to gain votes?

On asking whether Shushant Singh Rajput's death has become a political issue in the Bihar Assembly election, Amit Shah said some people might vote keeping in mind the sentiments attached. He further said that he is surprised why the Maharashtra government wasn't willing to handover the case to the CBI despite a demand by the family and controversies surrounding the case.

When asked that NCB, the AIIMS board and CBI are all under the central government and whether there were any pressure tactics used, the Union Home Minister clearly denied it and said that the question of the government directing these independent organisations doesn't arise.

Moving to questions of national importance, particularly the Sino-India border row, the Home Minister denied the possibility of a two-front war and said that talks through the diplomatic channel will help in ending the standoff. He also added that the Narendra Modi-led government is committed to the security of the country.

Shah also spoke on the abrogation of Article 370. He said, "Corruption stopped due to the removal of 370 so these people are upset."
