In an exclusive interview with Sudhir Chaudhary, the Editor In Chief of Zee News, Union Home Minister Amit Shah talks about the upcoming Bihar elections and the controversies around the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, among other things.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's mysterious death shocked the nation and raised several questions. His death polarised Bollywood including the entire country and turned into a political drama.

Sushant Singh's death was also mired in political controversy as the Maharashtra government wasn't willing to pursue the case further after declaring it a suicide. However, not many people were convinced with the investigation of the Maharashtra police, particularly the Bihar government which requested for a CBI Inquiry into the case. The Centre was swift in granting the permission which raised a few fingers.

And with the three-phase Bihar assembly election round the corner are political parties in the state bending the Sushant Singh Rajput case in their favour to gain votes?

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah in an exclusive interview with Sudhir Chaudhary, Editor in Chief, Zee News has spoken at length on the issue.

On asking whether Shushant Singh Rajput's death has become a political issue in the Bihar Assembly election, Amit Shah said some people might vote keeping in mind the sentiments attached. He further said that he is surprised why the Maharashtra government wasn't willing to handover the case to the CBI despite a demand by the family and controversies surrounding the case.

When asked that NCB, the AIIMS board and CBI are all under the central government and whether there were any pressure tactics used, the Union Home Minister clearly denied it and said that the question of the government directing these independent organisations doesn't arise.
