Exam pressure? 17-year-old boy Nalasopara boy dies of stroke
A commerce student, he was to have appeared for his exams from February 18. Teachers and friends believe exam pressure could have led to his death.
Durvesh Deshmukh, 17, an HSC student at the VIVA college in Virar and a resident of Umrale village in Nalasopara, died of a stroke on Friday morning.

His father is a fire officer and mother a teacher. Durvesh, who was their only son, complained of uneasiness and died around 3 am.
"The boy's parents informed us that he suddenly suffered a stroke and collapsed around 3 am and was declared dead before being admitted to hospital. A post mortem was conducted. Death due to exam pressure could not be ruled out," said a police official.
Durvesh's friends were in for a rude shock. "He met us last evening and was very normal. He often talked about exams and said that he wanted to score good marks," said a friend of Durvesh.
