EVM training helped me to overcome my fears: C K Tiwari

CK Tiwari, assistant commissioner in cooperative department has lots of experience of election duty but his confidence was shaking since this was his first experience with the electronic voting machines (EVM). However, the training provided to him not only helped him to overcome his fear but also built his confidence. “I had experience of handling paper ballots in elections and manual counting process. It was a time taking process and had a number of risks associated with it. With switching over to electronic machines, things are accurate, time saving and chances of human error are reduced,” said Tiwari. Tiwari appointed as the counting supervisor in Sanver constituency confessed that he feared if he will be able to perform as desirable since he was new to EVMs.  For success of the election Tiwari said “We can not claim that things will go as planned despite all possible arrangements and measures.  Success of a task is assessed only after it is accomplished.” He lauded the efforts of senior officers who have helped the employees in performing duty in this election. “After continuously work for 48 hours at the time of polling in Mhow, we all were exhausted. Thanks to the returning officer who threw a party for us. The party did magic as we all were not only recharged, it also boosted our moral,” added Tiwari.
