Rajasthan Minister of State for Energy Pushpendra Singh on Sunday directed power companies to ensure at least seven hours of power supply per day to farmers during Rabi crop season.

Following a high-level meeting in this regard, Singh also directed the companies to repair damaged and burn out transfers within 72 hours of a complaint being filed, according to an official spokesman here.

Other major power corrections are to be done within 24 hours under the sub-station improvement programme, he said. Singh also reviewed the ongoing projects under renewable energy transmission, green energy as well as feeder improvement programmes being run in the state.
