Emigration to Yemen, Bahrain banned for a month

The government today banned for a month emigration to Yemen and Bahrain which are witnessing anti-regime protests, and advised people against falling prey to unscrupulous recruitment agents."In view of the prevailing situation in Yemen and Bahrain, the ministry of overseas Indian affairs has imposed a ban on emigration to these countries with immediate effect", protector of emigrants, D Jai Sankar, said.The ban would be in place with immediate effect and people are advised not to fall prey to attempts by unscrupulous agents in the name of recruitment to these countries, he added.
