Air Traffic Control at SVPI airport, at around 5 pm Thursday, received request from the Air Arabia plane for emergency landing. Meanwhile, airport officials made all arrangements for the passenger to be immediately transferred to a hospital.

"An ambulance of Apollo Hospital was on standby to handle the medical emergency. The patient was given preliminary treatment and was then immediately transferred to the hospital," said an airport official. Doctors in Apollo have admitted him for further treatment, informed the official.
